Leaves The back yard is littered with splashes of red and orange and gold, fallen from the ancient trees that line the back fence and that were missed when James did the raking earlier. Lily stomps through them on her way to the gate, delighting in the crisp crunching sound they make under her shoes. Autumn has come early this year, invading the last few days of August with its chill; in just two days, she'll be back at Hogwarts for her sixth year, with all the friends that she has missed over the summer.
The gate swings open before she reaches it and Albus stumbles through, his cheeks red from the cold and his feet clumsy from laughter. B

Both first years picked up their bags and rushed out of the classroom. “I can’t believe you actually did that, Hugo,” said Lily Potter as she laughed.

“I can’t believe you laughed,” retorted her cousin, Hugo Weasley.

The class had been asked to practice the Levitation Charm. Hugo had decided to levitate the professor’s seat as she was about to sit down. Lily had seen what had happened and laughed. The professor thought she was the mastermind and had sent them both on their way.

She clenched her fists and let out a frustrated sound that was a mix between a groan and a scream and a sort of cawing noise that a crow might make.
